what was your favorite toy as a child?
the first book you remember reading by yourself? and/or other books that were memorable/formative.

Favorite toy as a child would be legos. Although I did have an impressive collection of star wars action figures and I loved my three barbie dolls!!!

First book (other than golden books) I remember reading myself was Maria Looney on the Red Planet. It was a lot of fun. The ones that I keep reading from my childhood are The Westing Game and The Marvelous Misadventures of Sebastian.

and my favorite color is Purple - especially a deep purple like the background of the new Mac OS. That almost indigo purple. Like velvet. ^_^

Yeah, Millie was really pretty! Also the first (and for years, only) bird that we lost to predation. I don't have any pictures of our current chickens, but the one in this icon was our first and sweetest -- we lost her (and three others) to a marten a year ago, after keeping her for four years. (We beefed up henhouse security, and the marten seems to have moved away.)

You have three wishes ala Aladdin. Standard Disney Aladdin exclusions/provisos/disclaimers (no world peace, no bringing people back from the dead, no killing anyone else - completely selfish wishes) apply. How would you use them?

1) To have my debts paid off. (student loans, car, house, credit card)

2) For my mom and dad's health to improve - dad's got a heart condition and other ailments, mom's got joint and blood pressure problems

3) For my son to have a job. He's been looking for almost a year now, and there's just nothing out there for him atm.

I should say those are my big wishes. Little wishes are little:

1) Harold and Maude. I need to see this movie again
2) A box of Earl Gray tea. (I'm out and sick and can't get to the store)
3) A new bathrobe/dressing robe. I had nothing to wrap up in for the past few days but a poncho and sweatpants. What I would have given for a bathrobe.

what is your favorite medium to work with as an artist.

It goes back and forth between watercolor and pen and ink/markers. I don't know. I'm trained in just about every medium, and I use them all on occasion. I guess I'm sort of a Donatello in that I don't like sticking with one particular medium or style. It gets boring.

Like if you're knitting and constantly using the same needles and the same kind of yarn and the same kinds of patterns. I like everything from fingering weight to super bulky. ^_^
